A Team Perspective with a

Personal Touch

David-Anthony Carenco, also known as “DA”, brings over two decades of experience in front-office roles across major fixed income and equity brokerage firms as well as asset management companies.  With a strong track record working with international and Nordic clients, institutional and distributors, DA’s career has always been defined by a commitment to building lasting relationships and offering tailored solutions.

Before joining Ridge Capital, DA played a pivotal role in establishing the first Nordic branch of Oddo BHF in Stockholm, having honed his expertise at Finacor, the largest interest rate inter-dealer in France. His international experience and deep market knowledge have been invaluable in helping Ridge spread its expertise and its reach across Europe.

Why Ridge Capital?

For DA, the decision to join Ridge Capital was a natural one. When Måns Levin, Ridge’s co-founder, invited him to join the team, the shared trust and respect between them, built over years when Måns was a client, made it easy for DA to decide to join. Ridge Capital’s commitment to creating a strong sport team-like culture, combined with its ambitious growth plans and a world-class product, stood out to him as an ideal place to contribute.

What makes Ridge Capital truly unique, according to DA, is the company’s strong values. The leadership at Ridge, Måns and Christoffer, has fostered an environment where employees are not just part of a team but feel like they are integral to the company’s success. “It’s a place where Måns and Christoffer daily make you feel that you can make a real difference,” he says, reflecting on the close-knit, collaborative culture that’s central to Ridge’s success.

A Diverse Background and Creative Mindset

While DA’s passion for finance is clear, his creative side also plays an essential role in his approach to business. He finds inspiration in minimalism – whether in design, emails, or financial solutions. “I’ve always had an eye for aesthetics,” he shares. “In finance, it’s about finding the cleanest, most efficient way to solve problems.”

DA’s interest in finance was sparked by his father, who introduced him to equity and derivatives investing during his teenage years. His career took off on the trading floor in Paris, and he later moved to one of France’s largest independent inter-dealer brokers, Finacor. That blend of analytical skills and creativity continues to define his approach to his work at Ridge Capital.

A Passion for Life Beyond Finance

Outside of work, DA is known for his love of cooking. At Ridge Capital, it’s not uncommon to find him sharing freshly baked Madeleines or Flan Patissier with colleagues or clients. But he’s also a fitness enthusiast, regularly practicing CrossFit and tennis. DA enjoys staying active and is always looking for ways to balance work with personal well-being.

In his downtime, DA enjoys watching TV series and movies. He’s a fan of shows like The Bureau and Breaking Bad and loves stand-up comedy. “It’s about finding joy in the little things,” he says, reflecting on the importance of maintaining balance in life.

Looking to the Future

As DA looks to the next decade, he envisions Ridge Capital continuing its growth trajectory. His goal is to help the company compete with the largest Nordic independent financial groups, building something lasting with the firm’s unique culture and client-first approach. For DA, Ridge Capital isn’t just a job – it’s a place where he feels he can make a real impact, both personally and professionally.
